He is survived by: his wife Diane Hale; his children, Tammy Cushing (Mike) of David, Misty McCarty (Kevin) and Gary Hale; and his grandchildren, David Hale III, Tyler Cushing, Daniel Hale, Madison Cushing, Hailey Cushing, Kylee Hale (Justin Dmochowski), Derek Hale, Dustin Hale, Conor McCarty, Riley Cushing, Kaleb Hale, Gavin McCarty, Nathan McCarty, Declan McCarty and Quintin McCarty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Monday, June 15th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
