He was predeceased by: his parents, Govind D. Sane and Vimal Govind Sane; his brother Ashok Govind Sane; his father-in-law Mahadev R. Kale; and also, Ahilya Kale and Sindu M. Kale.
He is survived by: his wife Anjali; his children, Neelesh, Nitin (Jamie) and Amit Sane (Holly); his sisters, Pratibha Phadke and Manda Datar; his brother-in-law Vasant (Sadhana Kale); and his siblings' children, Chetan, Rohit Kale, Rashmi, Rahul, Nandan, Leena and Bhagyashree.
