Thomas leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Thomas’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Thomas will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Don" Elmer Hillmann and Ruby Margaret Hillmann (Carrier); and his sister Diane Mamola (Jeff). He is survived by: his children, April Kalad (John) and Casey Hillmann (Lauren); his grandchildren, Andrew, Oliver and Wren; and his siblings, Lynn Kralicek (Ray), Steven Hillmann (Charlotte) and Dr. William Hillmann (Holly).
The military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 18th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
