With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Ilene Thomason Wood of Bone Gap, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph McCracken and Dorothy McCracken (Feller); her husbands, LaVerne "Ernie" Thomason and Vearl Wood; her sisters, Doris Fields and Juanita Pittman; and her grandson Dakota Thomason.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Thomason (Bonita), Bill Thomason (Michelle) and Debbie Ongaro (Ross); her grandchildren, Hannah Ramsland, Benjamin Thomason, Justin Ongaro, Katie Lundgren, Montana Thomason and Grace Thomason; and her siblings, Marjorie Hilliard, Loretta Gill and Richard McCracken. She is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Albion, IL 62806). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
