She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Johnston and Ethel Johnston (Wells); and her siblings, Glen, Merle Johnston and Bellveretta Farmer (Bell).

She is survived by: her son Roy Ruston of Ina; and her siblings, Beverly Smithey of Myrtle, Mississippi. and Charles Johnston (Mary) of Aurora. She is also survived by several Nieces & Nephews.
