He was predeceased by: his parents, Orland C. Dees and Nina B. Dees (Jones); his daughter Twila Snow; his granddaughter Twanna Snow; his great grandchild Duane Snow; and his brother-in-law Philip Newell.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Dees (Lynch) of Bonnie; his daughters, Angela Summers (Doug) of Bonnie and Shelley McDowell; his son-in-law Steven Snow (Renee) of Mount Vernon; his brother Ernest Dees (Debbie) of Mount Vernon; his siblings-in-law, Karen Newell of Scheller, Illinois and Douglas Lynch (Joyce) of Carlinville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Joshua Summers (Francisca) of Mount Vernon, Hannah Fullerton (Britt) of Mount Vernon, Elisha Smith (Michael) of Mount Vernon, Grace Payne (Troy) of Mount Vernon, Blake Snow (Kayla) of Bonnie, Taylor Martin (Mitchell) of Salem and Ella Capps of Mount Vernon; and his great grandchildren, Emory, Emmah, Emersyn Summers, Hadassah, Evelyn, Jubilee Fullerton, Scarlett, Miriam Payne, Judah, Isaiah Snow, Harper Martin, Makayla and Miah Smith.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newell Funeral Home - Waltonville (407 E Main St, Waltonville, IL 62894). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the South Hickory Hill Cemetery (7531 N Vermont Ln, Mt Vernon, IL 62864).
Memorials may be made in Charles's honor to South Hickory Hill Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
