Marvin Skidmore Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Skidmore of Bonnie, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Lambert Skidmore and Sybil Faye Skidmore (Jones); his brother Morris Lee Skidmore; and his son Jonathon Ray Skidmore. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Marie Skidmore (Payne); his siblings, Donnie Skidmore (Burline) of Opdyke and Glenda Smith (Calvin) of Waco, Texas; and his children, Jeff Skidmore (Shelby) of Mount Vernon, Greg Skidmore (Cindy) of Mount Vernon, Joanna Keene (Dan) of High Ridge, Becky Skidmore of Myrtle Mississippi, Andrew Skidmore (Johna) of Bluford and Tim Skidmore (Katie) of Bonnie. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Marvin's honor to the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple.
