He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Jones and Opal Jones (Grahlherr); his siblings, Marvin Jones, Dolena Bryan and Sophia Jones; his great grandchildren, Elijah and Noah Tyler; his niece Cynthia Rice; and his brother-in-law Floyd Bryan.

He is survived by: his wife Dolly Grace Jones (Lorance); his children, David Wayne Jones (Arlene), Bradley Alan Jones (Sandra) and Terra Raejean (Kenneth Jones) of Mascoutah, Illinois; his grandchildren, Zephan Jones, Mattie Winter (Joshua), Andrew Jones (Linzy), Randy Jones (Mica), Bethany Yingling (Cael), Heather Tyler (Eric), Joshua Jones (Jamie), Ryan Jones and Alexandria Felty (Jon); and his niece Rita McComas. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
