With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jacina Cookson of Boody, Illinois, who passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Dodson and Kay Dianne Dodson (Selzle); and her nephew Mitchell Dodson. She is survived by: her husband Marvin "Scott" Cookson; her sons, Davey Crawley Jr. (Jodi Wenger) of Decatur and Derek Cookson of Decatur; her siblings, Rick Dodson (Sherry) of Dalton City, Tony Dodson (Julie) of Decatur, Troy Dodson (Jill) of Hammond, Chad Dodson and Chassity Dodson of Decatur; her grandchildren, Danielle Daum (Skyler), Dominic Giles, Calvin Crawley and Theodore James Gaynor; and her great grandchild Nora Daum. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
