We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2025, at the age of 43, David A. Wonder of Bourbonnais, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth Wonder of Bloomington, IN and Marta Wonder (Howard) of Bloomington, IN; his wife Lisa Wonder of Bourbonnais; his son Brooks Wonder of Bourbonnais; his brothers, Jimmy Wonder of Bloomington, IN and Tommy Wonder of Anderson, IN; his parents-in-law, Ken and Judy Brinkmann of Momence; his siblings-in-law, Mark, Jamie Brinkmann of Momence, Elizabeth and Jeramiah Dickey of Boise, ID; and his siblings' children, Brody, Eli, Easton, Emerson, Amber and Autumn. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

“I hired Dave as the music teacher at Hickory Creek Middle School in 2004. He was the BEST music teacher I ever worked with. His zest for life and enthusiasm for music was outstanding. I remember how he excited 8th graders to sing. He requested 30 guitars, told the 8th graders “I will teach you to play guitar but you must sing.” The students loved it and their voices were heard. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave and his family. Bob Madonia Retired Superintendent Frankfort S.D. 157C”
