It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deena Meyer (Bourbonnais, Illinois), who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deena Meyer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Johnston and Geraldine Johnston; and her brother Paul (late Ron). She is survived by: her former husband Ronald "Slick" Meyer; her granddaughter Michelle; her daughters, Michelle Fitts (Ron) of Bourbonnais and Kimberly Jawnyj of Huntley; her son-in-law John Fitts; her grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon, Justin Boie and Karyn Fitts; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Brody and Ryder Brinkman; and her siblings-in-law, Judy Johnston, Carol, Jim Lustig and Janice Meyer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts of friendship and remembrance, memorials can be made to "Piersen Strong" (Piersen Eaker): a young family friend who was permanently injured in 2014 at the hands of his daycare provider.
