He was predeceased by: his wives, Lee Packard and Audrey Rodgers Packard. He is survived by: his children, Donna Montgomery and Charles Packard (Linda); his grandson Jonathon; his granddaughter-in-law Julie; his great grandchildren, Addison and Logan; and his extended family, John (Jan), Robert Rodgers (Carol), Leann Hollywood (Jim) and Carol Schultz (Fred).
