Ernesto touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Modesta Lopez; and his parents, Nicolas Lopez and Delfina Lopez (Guerrero). He is survived by: his siblings, Federico, Jose, Guadalupe, Victoria, Elias, Dora and Trinidad; and his children, Leticia Nunez, Ernesto "Ernie" Lopez (Maureen), Josefa "Josie" Contreras (Juan), Betty Ann Mattia (Nick), Eddie Lopez, Melissa Gurley (Michael) and Esteban "Steve" Lopez (Rehana).
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S Cline Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
