He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin G. Kirchner and Hazel Kirchner (Murphy); his siblings, Leroy Kirchner (Barbara), Duane Kirchner, Francis Kirchner (Bonnie), Harold Kirchner (Cheri), Phyllis Kirchner and Rita Hamilton (Pat); and his brothers-in-law, Duane Wenzelman and Owen Ake.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kirchner; his children, Larry Kirchner (Pat), Roger Kirchner and Linda Brockman (Robert); his grandchildren, Austyn Bruno (Drew), Andrew Bruno (Allison Arseneau) and Abbie Bruno (Tony Bizzotto); his great grandchildren, Sophia Baker, Sofia Bizzotto, Evelyn Cwetna and Natalie Cwetna; his sisters, Marion Wenzelman and Nancy Ake; and his sister-in-law Maxine Kirchner.
