He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Linda Tharp; children: Gale (Thance) Springer, Darrin (Michelle) Tharp, and Ann (Joe) Vulpitta; daughter-in-law: Stephanie (Mike) Burklow; grandchildren: Gaylin, Vana, Vail, Vance, Nathan, Katy, Anthony, Marcus, Dalton, Haley, Ashley, Riley, and Hailey; great grandchildren: Bonnie, Hudson, Grayson, Stetson, Benson, Hazel, Roxie, and Lucas; parents: Woodrow and Dorothy (Sears) Tharp; siblings: Diane Legrand, Donna (Bob) Moffitt, and Mike Tharp; sisters-in-law: Vickie Franklin and Judy (Dale) Mulder; son: Jeffrey Carroll; sisters and brothers-in-law: Cindy (Joe) Cote and Al Franklin; in-laws: Joseph and Mary Landroche and Ernie Shannon; best friend: Bob Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jensen Funeral Home (3639 EAST State Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care, Bourbonnais or River Valley.
