It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Russell (Bourbonnais, Illinois), born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth "Bud" Russell and Stella Russell (Butcher); and his brothers, Richard and David Russell. He is survived by: his girlfriend Cheryl; his stepdaughter Jennifer (April) of Bourbonnais, IL; his grandchildren, Jalen (April), Makayla (Jones) and Makenzie (April); his siblings, Donald Russell and Lana Russell of Wayne City, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Russell and Rhonda Russell. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kankakee State Park (Rock Creek Pavilion) (5314 IL-102, Bourbonnais, IL 60914).
