He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lengel and Irene Nykes Lengel; his daughter Heather; and his siblings, Nancy Lengel-Guerra and Matthew Lengel.

He is survived by: his wife Tori Lengel of Bourbonnais; his sons, Tim (Krissi Lengel), Greg (Tära Lengel) and Danny (Kate Lengel); his sisters, Marilyn Carmony of Brownsburg, IN, Kathie Lengel (Paul Hollaway) and Sue (Tom Shapen); and his grandchildren, Carson, Jackson, Joy, Sam, Katalin, Eli and Eden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
