He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon O'Connell and Eva O'Connell (Mitchell); and his brother-in-law Ted Diangikes. He is survived by: his sons, Mark O'Connell (Morgan Metschuleit) of Bourbonnais and Philip O'Connell of Duluth, Minnesota; his sister Kathy Diangikes of Florida; his grandson Ronan O'Connell; his niece Molly Diangikes; his nephew Ryan Neese; and his great-nephew Teddy.
