She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Manssen and Edna Manssen (Renken); her husband Lee Scering; her sister Karen Shelton; her brothers-in-law, Bob Shelton and Bill Harrison; her niece Wendy Haase; and her pet Teddy.

She is survived by : her siblings, Jean Harrison, Myra Manssen and Keith Manssen (Jackie); her sister-in-law Amy Seng (Bob); her stepchildren, Andrea, Stephen and Dana Scering; and her pet Cricket.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth, Uplifted Care Hospice of Kankakee Valley, American Lutheran Church of Bourbonnais, or to donor's choice.
