Though Merilu E. may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Merilu E. touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her brother Tyrese Gifford. She is survived by: her mother Jan Skibins (Griffen) of Bourbonnais; her siblings, Debbie Steward (Jim) of Bourbonnais, Shaunte Gifford of Bourbonnais, Angi Sedlock-Wurster (Jeff) of Kankakee and Frank Sedlock (Sarah) of Kankakee; and her foster sister Lakieta White.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
