She was predeceased by : her parents, John Blandy and Cecelia Clark Blandy; her husband Dr. Norberto Pedraja Ortiz; her son Bert Ortiz; and her sister Priscilla Blandy.
She is survived by : her daughters, Cecelia Ortiz Muuss of Westfield, IN and Rebecca Groth of Bourbonnais; her sister Jacklynn "Jackie" Bournique of Bourbonnais; her grandchildren, Eric, Zachary, Jordan, Jeff, Alexis and Maddee; her great grandchildren, Keegan, Anna, Andrew, Grayson, Sophia and Noah; her pet Rascal; and also Betsy Hill Ludlow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Helen Wheeler Center, Kankakee, or the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
