She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Russell and Myrtle Russell (Frey); her grandparents, Bert and Fern Frey (Rouse); her great-grandparent Clara Rouse (Haines); her daughter Darla Gryder; her stepfather Raymond Gerard; her siblings, Wilma Savage and Dean Russell; her stepsiblings, Joyce Defenbaugh, Sherrie Goodman and Bob Gerard; and her half-siblings, Audrey, Sharyn Russell, Leatha Moon, Bruce of Kewanee, IL. and Mark Russell of Kewanee, IL..
She is survived by: her husband Delbert Howell; and her daughters, Debbie Wessels (Gary) of Ankeny, IA, Darcy Stanley (Tim) of Greenville, SC and Donya Bayles (Darrell) of Ankeny, IA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
