She was predeceased by: her parents, George Rateike and Trudy Rateike; her son Douglas; and her brothers-in-law, Scott Snively and Charlie Vernon.
She is survived by: her husband Brad; her daughter Jenn (David Glatt); her grandsons, Dylan, Nathan (Claire), Ryker and Landon Schroeder; her siblings, Donna Nygren (Richard), Marilyn Rateike (Jeanine Clapsaddle), Trudi Snively and George Rateike II; her in-laws, Bob Schroeder (Elaine), Marybeth Schroeder and John Schroeder (Cathy); Crystal Schroeder. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (111 W Olive St, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ginny's memory to: St. Peter Lutheran School and Church, The Dementia Society of America.
