He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Halvorson and Mary Halvorson (Sabol); his former wife Diane Marie Halvorson; and his siblings, Knute Halvorson and Gertrude Myers.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Halvorson of Bradley; his son Kyle Halvorson of Mokena; his stepdaughter Jennifer Hobbs of Kansas City, KS; his sister Mary Halvorson; and his grandchildren, Kamdyn Halvorson and Kaden Halvorson.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Chicago or the American Lutheran Church in Bourbonnais.
