He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kenneth and Whilma Giroux (Deliere); his brother William H. Giroux; and his brother-in-law Jerry Holz. He is survived by: his wife JoAn (Holz); his children, Sara Wolfsmith (John) of St. Charles, IL and Lee Giroux of Bend, OR; his grandsons, Ryan, Andrew Wolfsmith and Walker Evans; his sisters-in-law, Pat Giroux of North Point, FL and Margret Holz of Boise, ID.; his nieces, Amanda Brandfass and Julia Holz; and his nephew Shawn Giroux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jensen Funeral Home (3639 EAST State Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
