He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Rouse and Blanche Deschand Rouse; his spouse Hildagard Ullesperger; his daughter Patricia Launius; and his siblings, Larry Rouse, Kenneth Rixie, Vivian Dayhoff and Ardis Baker.

He is survived by : his sons, Louis W. Rouse (Loretta) of Limestone and Terry D. Rouse of Bradley; and his grandchildren, Ann Fann, Louis W. Rouse Jr., Jennifer L. Keast, Debbie J. Raines, Deena Rabideau, Chelle Wingo, Hollee Gaytan and Austin Rouse. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
