He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Hugh Johnson and Sylvia Johnson; his wife Liz Johnson; his children, Chris Johnson Sr. (Julie), Andrew Johnson, Roger Johnson Jr. (Eileen), Michael Johnson, Aimee Long (Randy) and Shannon Johnson (Tammy); his siblings, Wanda and Clarence; his grandson Patrick Sheene; and his siblings, Delbert Willhoite and Doris Murphy. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
