She was predeceased by : her mother Trina McElwaine (Sampson); and her brother Olatunji Bolarinwa. She is survived by : her father Rudy McElwaine; her husband Angel Rivera of Bradley; her children, Angel L. Rivera Jr. of Melrose Park, Genevieve Rivera of Chicago, Sydney Holder (Evan), Alyxandria T. Rivera of Bradley and Lauryn E. Rivera of Bradley; her sisters, Nya Bolarinwa of Chicago and Tia McElwaine; and her grandchildren, Juliana Rivera, Donovan Rivera, Ezra Holder and Eliza Holder.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bourbonnais - Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Inc. (295 Main St NW, Bourbonnais, IL 60914). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
