Elizabeth Walsh Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Walsh of Braidwood, Illinois, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Avinger and Kathleen Avinger (Latham); her daughter Nicole Walsh-Franklin; her parents-in-law, Jack and Lillian Walsh; and her great-aunt Sybil.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Walsh of Braidwood; her children, Ricky Franklin (Sandra Linares) of Fort Walton Beach, Dru Walsh (Emily) of Homer Glen and Kaitlin Dell'Aquila (Pete) of Alpharetta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Azia, Milly, Aiden, Abel, Maren, Jack, Ellis and Etta; her siblings, Blane Avinger (Grady) of Texas, Tony Avinger of Florida and Julie Simmons (Travis) of Florida; her sisters-in-law, Cindy Walsh (late Wayne) of Braidwood and Laura Dolehide (Jack) of Dubuque, Iowa; Mia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 W Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (23060 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL 60431).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Liz's memory to the Braidwood Beautification Committee.
