It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Marie Rogers of Braidwood, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shaunnessy and Jennie Shaunnessy; her husband Eugene John Rogers; her daughter Jean Rogers; and her sister Jessie J. Stokowski.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Rogers (Kathy) of Villa Park, IL, Dr. William Rogers of San Jose, CA and Barry Rogers of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Jillian Elmore (Matthew) and Benjamin Rogers (Cathie Magee); her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Harper; and her sister Wilma Gaydos of Peoria, IL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (110 S School St, Braidwood, IL 60408). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the All Saint's Mausoleum (1839 W. State Route 102, Elwood, IL 60914).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Braidwood.
