She was predeceased by: her father Edward Konte. She is survived by: her mother Patricia Konte (Rura); her husband Robert L. Schmitt; her children, Christopher Konte (Danielle Perry), Matthew Schmitt (Kelly) and Jordan Schmitt-McVicker (Michael); her grandchildren, Zeke Coupaud, Aurora Schmitt, Remy McVicker and Leo McVicker; her sisters, Cindy Konte (Pam), Kimberly Konte and Stephanie May (James); and her pets, Stella and Shelby. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
