He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter L. Valeo and Katherine K. Valeo; his stepmother Dorothy Valeo; and his brother Peter Valeo. He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Valeo; his children, Michael A. Valeo of Schaumburg, IL, Eric K. Maze (Gina) of Chicago, IL, Candice Harman (Jeremy) of Pickerington, OH and Adam Maze (Melissa) of Peotone, IL; his grandchildren, Adrianna, Rosalie, Matthew, Elizabeth, Landon, Angelina, Kaitlynn, Eric, Hunter and Madelyn; and his sisters, Sally DeNardo (Frank) of Burbank, IL and Candice Niemiec (Joseph) of Parrish, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the R. W. Patterson Funeral Home (401 E Main St, Braidwood, IL 60408). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael's honor may be made to the ASPCA.
