With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tyson Jeffrey Whittum of Braidwood, Illinois, who passed away on March 26, 2026 at the age of 18. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfather Rodney Arseneau; and his great-grandparents, Roger, Marlene Arseneau, James, Patricia Flora, Shirley Whittum and Viola Curtis.
He is survived by: his friend Whit; his parents, Jeffrey Whittum and Brindy Whittum (Arseneau) of Braidwood; his siblings, Emma, Maggie and Daniel "Deebo"; his grandparents, Doug, Diane Whittum and JoAnn Arseneau; his great-grandparents, Gene Whittum and Joe Curtis; his aunts, Laura Pooré (Wayne), Amy Quigley (David) and Shari Dufrain (Craig); and his cousins, Halyn, Hunter, Esau, Emmalyn, Gideon, Grayson, Madalyn, Maxon, Maelyn, Riley and Kenadie.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Tyson's memory to his family for distribution to Ty's sponsored family in The Congo and to honor his love of music in supporting the Reed Custer Music Department.
