Wayne Thomas Saltzman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2025, at the age of 84, Wayne Thomas Saltzman of Braidwood, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Saltzman and Audrey Saltzman Sr.; and his son Joseph Brian Saltzman. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Mae Bergera; his children, Jeffrey Saltzman (Shelly) of Braidwood and Rita Blackwell (Peter) of Bloomingdale; his brothers, Richard Saltzman (Barbara) of Braidwood and Thomas Saltzman Jr. (Kim) of Dwight; his grandchildren, Alysha Vickers (Drew), Samantha Blackwell (Steve Tortorella) and Joseph Saltzman; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Alice; his uncle Curtis Saltzman (Helen) of Braidwood; his siblings-in-law, Randy and Celeste Clark; and his close friends, Pat Keenan and Josh Bolatto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. W. Patterson Funeral Home (401 E Main St, Braidwood, IL 60408). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (110 S School St, Braidwood, IL 60408).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne's name may be made to the Braidwood Lions Club or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in recognition of his longstanding dedication to the Braidwood community.
