He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Huelsmann and Wilhelmina Huelsmann; his siblings, Wilbert Huelsmann (Agnes), Richard Huelsmann, Roger Huelsmann, Robert Huelsmann and Theodora Wilke (Ralph); his siblings-in-law, Andrew Schrage, Clarence Korte (Ruth), Norbert Korte (Helen) and Eleanor "Ellie" Henrichs (Virgil); and his parents-in-law, Frank and Emma Korte.
He is survived by: his wife Irene of Breese; his children, Randy Huelsmann (Gina) of Highland, Gerard "George" Huelsmann (Angel) of O'Fallon, Juanita Donelson (Steve) of Highland, Madonna Fischer (Ed) of Highland and Stephanie Bierman (Keith) of Highland; his grandchildren, Nathan Huelsmann (Anjuli), Laney Bond (Ethan), Alexis Wilcox (Sam), Mackenzie Huelsmann, Madison Huelsmann, Austin Fischer (Lexis), Mason Fischer and Paige Fischer-Westenfelder (Chase); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Byers, Claire and Graham; his sisters-in-law, Olivia Ficker of St. Louis, Florence "Flo" Schrage of Highland and Kathleen Huelsmann of Breese; Lexi Bierman.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (493 N 2nd St, Breese, IL 62230). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants or other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Church, Mater Dei Catholic High School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 525 N. 2nd St., Breese, IL 62230, which is serving the family.
