He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Huene and Elvera Huene (Liening); his sister Theresa Ann Huene; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Weh, Mike Hilmes, Mike Haar and Mike Wagner; and his parents-in-law, Eugene and Cleopha Lohman (Athmer).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia R. Lohman; his sons, Neil Huene (Melanie) of Indianapolis and Eric Huene (Kate) of Lake St; his grandchildren, Mason, Samuel Huene, Reed and Shay Huene; his sisters, Martie Weh of Breese and Edna Hilmes of Breese; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Lohman (Jane) and Mary Wagner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (493 N 2nd St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to family wishes (payable to Pat Huene), to be used for Veterans organizations, or to children's charities in Bernell's memory.
