Betty Liening Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2025, at the age of 89, Betty Liening of Breese, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Aarns and Elizabeth Aarns (Isaak); her husband John E. Liening; her daughter Peggy Loomis; and her brothers, Andrew and Bob Aarns.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Meentemeyer (Dean), Rick Liening (Karen Rolfingsmeier) and Brian Liening (Paula Muessette); her son-in-law Michael Loomis; her grandchildren, Rae Liening, Jason Kreke (Julie), Lauren Liening, Alexander Liening, Andra Goestenkors and Mariah Ritchie; her great grandchildren, Bella, Leo, Silas, Elsie, Samuel, Jeremiah, James, Lydia, Benjamin, Everett and Lewis; and her siblings, Gerri Haar, Margie Gooden, Judy Heimann (Bob) and Carl Aarns (Jackie).
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (1171 Livingston St, Carlyle, IL 62231). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Mary's Parish Center (1171 Livingston St, Carlyle, IL 62231).
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family suggests memorial donations in Betty's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
