Cletus R. Ratermann Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cletus R. Ratermann of Breese, Illinois, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cletus R. Ratermann to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ratermann and Leona Ratermann; his siblings, Elaine Brammeier (Gene), Andrew Ratermann, Stephen Ratermann and Alfred Ratermann; his parents-in-law, Paul "Peanuts" and Aggie Hilmes; and his siblings-in-law, Pam Pitt, Carla Hilmes, Gary Hilmes and Jeff Hilmes.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Ratermann; his sons, Gregory Ratermann (Teresa) of Swansea, Scott Ratermann (Mary) of Breese and Eric Ratermann (Amy) of Perryville, MO; his grandchildren, Alex Brown (Hailey), Emma Ratermann (Tyler), Connor Ratermann, Raymond Ratermann, Jacob Ratermann, Nathan Ratermann, Lucy Blythe and Grant Blythe; his siblings, Marcellus Ratermann (Milly) of San Marcos, CA, Matt Ratermann (Karen) of Breese and Betty Sligar (Bill) of Breese; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Ratermann of Breese, Barbara Ratermann of Germantown, Charlie Hilmes of Breese, Diane, Mike Hilmes (Chris) of Breese, Kevin Hilmes (Vanessa) of Breese, Shelly Hilmes of Aviston and Mike Pitt of Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
