We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, at the age of 79, Dean Holifield of Breese, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parent Gurt; his children, Cynthia Dawn Holifield and David James Holifield; his grandson Jacob Dailey; and his brothers, Robert Holifield and William Holifield.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Holifield of Breese; his children, Richard Holifield (Michelle) of Elkland, MO, Deborah Lawrence of Marshfield, MO, April Martiszus (Edward) of Trenton and Michael Holifield of Breese; his grandchildren, Jessica Dailey and Elijah Holifield; his great grandchild Jaxon; and his sisters, Betty Moyer (Gary) of Eddyville, KY and Kay Phillips of Glen Carbon. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bluffview Baptist Church (2052 N Bluff Rd, Collinsville, IL 62234). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
