With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Hostmeyer of Breese, Illinois, who passed away on November 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Alvin; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Jane Schulte; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Cummins, Larry Ratermann, Brad Schulte and Brian Schulte.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Michael Hostmeyer (Kristen) of Jamestown and Angela Toennies (Ryan) of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Shelbe Hostmeyer (Cody Flynn), Drew Hostmeyer (Adison Fritz), Jayden Toennies and Kai Toennies; his great grandchild Bryson Reibold; his siblings, Wanda Cummins of Breese, Judy Ratermann of Breese and Sandy French (Dennis) of Breese; and his siblings-in-law, Maureen Albers (Dennis) of Breese, Malinda Huels (Woody) of Carlyle, Wayne Schulte (Marilyn) of Breese, Kris Schulte of Breese and Lisa Reynolds (Shawn) of Breese. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Breese Fire Department or the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
