He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bobby and Hyacinth Helen Greer; his grandson Jaxon Greer; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Marie Albers; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Albers and Christine Coates.
He is survived by: his wife Barb Greer; his children, Jodi Wessel (Dale) of Carlyle, Robbie Greer (Shanay Stevenson) of Breese, Leslie Grubb (Jeff) of Breese, Ben Greer (Renee) of Breese, Alycia Greer (Curtis Rakers) of Beckemeyer and Jamie Rinne (Keith) of Breese; his grandchildren, Scott Pillow (Kayla), Carly Pillow, Courtney Greer, Candice Coulby (Phillip), Kayden Ambuehl, Nicholas Hunter (Savannah Roeper), Alexandria Hunter, Joshua Grubb, Alyssa Greer, Ethan Greer, Tyler Green, Chase Rakers, Bailey Foster, Caydence Rakers, Hayli Rinne, Emily Rinne and Lucas Rinne; his great grandchildren, Braylynn Pillow, Parker Hunter, Amara Edwards and Amelia Edwards; and his brothers, Jim Greer (Karen Gulley) of Carlyle and Ed Greer (Karen) of Breese. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moss Funeral Home (535 N 5th St, Breese, IL 62230). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family (checks payable to Barb Greer) and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
