He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dumstorff and Catherine Dumstorff; his siblings, William "Moose" Dumstorff (Missie) and Kathleen "Puddles" Meyer; his parents-in-law, Tony and Clara Toennies; and his siblings-in-law, Glen Thoele, Paul Toennies, Bernard "Beans" Toennies, Alice Toennies and Lois Toennies.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Toennies; his children, Carla Varel (Ben) of Bartelso, Steve Dumstorff (Debby) of O'Fallon and Amanda Kaegy (Jeff) of Breese; his grandchildren, Candice Schulte (Justin), Paige Luebbers (Zach), Molly, Kate, Grace Dumstorff, Braden and Parker Kaegy; his great grandchildren, Kallen and Carter Luebbers; his siblings, Mary Thoele of Carlyle, Carol "Peck" Foppe of Breese, Jerry "Squirrel" Dumstorff of St. Jacob, Linda "Goof" Jung of Florida, Jim Dumstorff (Patty) of Breese, Lester Dumstorff (Cindy) of Carlyle, Ken "Storff" Dumstorff (Connie) of Aviston and Kevin "Huck" Dumstorff of Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Adrian Toennies (Trudy) of Trenton, Leonard Toennies (Georgia) of Albers, Donald "Duck" Toennies of Breese, Glen Toennies (Kathy) of Aviston, Jim Toennies (Marlene) of Germantown, Leroy Toennies (Mary) of Bartelso, Pete Toennies (Jackie) of Damiansville, Anthony "Butch" Toennies (Nancy) of Damiansville, Jim Meyer of Breese and Diane Toennies of Bartelso. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
