Francis A. Rehkemper Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francis A. Rehkemper of Breese, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Francis A. Rehkemper to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rehkemper and Rose Rehkemper; his brothers, Jerome Rehkemper (Lorene), Paul Rehkemper (Jeanette), Cornelius Rehkemper and Eugene Rehkemper (Lorene); his parents-in-law, Frank and Laura Hustedde; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Rehkemper, Mary Ann Peek (Henry "Hank"), Monica Boeckmann (Charles), Maurice Albers, Francis Hustedde, Robert Hustedde and Herbert Hustedde.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Rehkemper; his children, Steven Rehkemper of Chicago, Barbara Greten (Robert) of Highland, Jeffrey Rehkemper (Reneé) of Chicago, Melinda Brueggemann (Barry) of Carmel, IN and Gina Rehkemper (Jan Wilhelm Mueller) of Elm Grove, WI.; his grandchildren, Natalie, Tiffany Rehkemper, Megan Ernst (Jared), Lauren Schmitt (Bryan), Adele Rehkemper (Jacob Gasyna), Stefan, Camille Rehkemper, Bennett, Evan, Elana Brueggemann, Leopold "Leo" and Fredrica Mueller; his great grandchildren, Hudson Ernst, Averi and Lynnox Schmitt; his brother Thomas Rehkemper (Pat Dorries) of St. Louis; and his siblings-in-law, Joann Rehkemper of St. Rose, Rita Albers of Germantown, Carol Hustedde of Breese, Dorothy Showalter (Gerald) of O'Fallon and Anthony "Butch" Hustedde (Joyce Dorries) of Breese. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery, All Saints Academy, or Mater Dei Catholic High School and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St., Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
