He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Westfall and Grace Westfall; his daughter Theresa Westfall; his great grandchild Cyson McLennan; his sister Phyllis Abbott; his parents-in-law, Robert and Helen Hilmes; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Hilmes, Robert Hilmes, Jr. and Michael Hilmes.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Westfall; his children, Dana McLennan (Charles Williams) of Collinsville, Cassandra McShan (Kymontus) of Edwardsville, Bryan Westfall of Rutherfordton, NC, Erin, Kyle Myers of Highland, Gina Glaub (Christopher) of Breese and Sheila Aarseth (Derek) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Taylor Westfall, Jonathon, Josephine McLennan, Gabriel Westfall-Mckenzie, Savanna Westfall-Lemp, Isabel, Ellerie Westfall, Peyton, Lexi Myers, Eric (Elizabeth), Evan, Lyndsie Theis, Alyssa, Michelle Glaub, Avery, Autumn, Derek Jr. and Aarseth; his great grandchildren, Elsie, Sophia, Braydon, Ozias and Elijah; his sister Catherine Weldon (Eugene) of Lincoln; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Abbott of Glen Carbon, Jean Hilmes of Modesto, CA, Leonard Hilmes (Paula) of Freeburg, Connie Lager (Gary) of Beckemeyer, Lucy Henrichs (Tom) of Highland, Kevin Hilmes of Damiansville, Nancy Hilmes of Breese, Sharon Netemeyer (Brian) of Albers, Mark Hilmes (Geralyn) of Aviston, Ken Hilmes (Loretta) of New Baden, Cecilia Scott (Don) of El Paso, TX and Shirley Hilmes of Breese. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
