She was predeceased by: her parents, Leander Holthaus and Alma Holthaus; her husband Donald J. Pitt; her daughter-in-law Pam Pitt; her parents-in-law, Paul Pitt and Eleanor Greer (John); and her siblings-in-law, Gerald "Porky" Markus, Rosalie Walker, Wayne Pitt, Gloria Crosten and Mary Pitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Pitt (Carla) of Breese and Michael Pitt (Gena) of Dover, FL; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob Pitt, Colton (Maggie), Olivia and Kendra McGuire; her great grandchildren, Wrenlee, Lillyanna, Isabella and Hank; her siblings, Martha Robke (Gene) of Carlyle, Norbert Holthaus (Sharon) of Carlyle, Eleanor Markus of Aviston and Joyce Brefeld (Jerry) of Trenton; and her siblings-in-law, Marilyn Pitt of Faribault, MN, William Pitt of Pawnee and Paul Pitt, Jr. (Janet) of Beckemeyer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Moss Funeral Home (535 N 5th St, Breese, IL 62230). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (493 N 2nd St, Breese, IL 62230).
In lieu of flowers, plants, or other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Church and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th Street, Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
