It is with sadness that the passing of Stephen Eugene Bock of Brighton, Illinois is shared. Stephen, born on August 31, 1951, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Bock and Dorothy Bock; his girlfriend Dorothy Mosby; his son Donald Bock; his brother William Bock; and his grandson Caleb Berkaw.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marsha Hartman (John), Ruth Belfield (Tim) and Ralph Bock; his daughter Sara Berkaw (George); his grandchildren, Ian Bock, Clara Higgenbotham (Shelby), Timothy Sheff (Kaydance), Ava Berkaw, Jonathan Ogilvy and Collin Berkaw; and his great grandchildren, Kora Sheff and Scarlett Higgenbotham.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2409 State St, Alton, IL 62002). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
