He was predeceased by: his parents, George Young and Mary Young; his former wife Gloria Closen; and his sister Marjorie. He is survived by: his wife Myra Young; his children, Kimberly Young of Wilmington, IL and Christopher Young of Peoria, IL; his stepchildren, William Welk (Gail) of Danvers, IL, Ronald Welk (Christina) of Englewood, FL and Leslie Welk of East Peoria, IL.; his granddaughter Nell Young; and his stepgrandchildren, Shannon Thomas, Brianna Welk, Caitlin Haas, Jacob Welk and Brittany Webb. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Community Workshop and Training Center (CWTC) or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
