She is survived by: her children, Tracey Backstrom and Christopher Backstrom; her goddaughters, Angela Reed and Lisa Armstrong; her sister Barbara; her grandchildren, DeAndre Trent (Tiara) and Cierra Sargent (Jeremy); and her friends, MaeAlice and Arnita. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wallace Broadview Funeral Home (2020 Roosevelt Rd, Broadview, IL 60155). A wake was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Simon of Cyrene Parish (5112 W Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60644). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
