He was predeceased by: his parents, Opha Simpson and Virginia Mae Simpson (Smith); his wife Debra Simpson (Duncan); his daughter Robin Harmon; his parents-in-law, William Melvin and Shirley Ann Duncan (Edwards); his granddaughter Clarissa Henry; his siblings-in-law, William Melvin Duncan "Junior", Hughie Scott, Cindy Jeffords and Billy Frank Duncan; and his pets, Elaina and Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Traversy (Mallary), Cherie Nicole Simpson Autry (Robert), Heather Traversy (Keith Reily) and Katie Choate; his grandchildren, Tessa, Blayne, Hadlee Traversy, Cheyanne, Wyatt Autry, Roger Forthman III, Amber Forthman, Braedan and Danyelle Holmes; his siblings-in-law, Pat Giltner (Steve), Carolyn Scott and Alan Jeffords; and his pets, Mia and Benny. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
