With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Jean Mayberry of Broughton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hayter and Pauline Hayter (Allen); her husband Vernon Ray Mayberry; and her siblings, John Hayter and Joyce Gunter.
She is survived by: her sons, Marvin Mayberry (Mary) of Eldorado and Ray Mayberry (Summer) of McLeansboro; her grandchildren, Mitchell Mayberry (Gretchen), Megan Mayberry, Justin Mayberry (Megan) and Tyler Mayberry; her brother Phillip Hayter of Yakima, WA; and her close friends, Rhonda Grisham and Becky O'Neil. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
